September Chapter 1: Points, Lines, and Planes
Students will learn to identify and model points, line, and planes, measure segments and determine accuracy of measurements, calculate the distance between points and find the midpoint of a segment, measure and classify angles and identify angle relationships, and identify polygons and find their perimeters.

October Chapter 3: Parallel and Perpendicular Lines
Students will learn how to identify angle relationships that occur with parallel lines and a transversal, and identify and prove lines parallel from given angle relationships, use slope to analyze a line and to write its equation, and find the distance between a point and a line and between two parallel lines.

  Chapter 4: Congruent Triangles
Students will learn to classify triangles, apply the Angle Sum Theorem and the Exterior Angle Theorem, identify corresponding parts of congruent triangles, test for triangle congruence using SSS, SAS, ASA, and AAS, use properties of isosceles and equilateral triangles, and write coordinate proofs.

  Chapter 5: Relationships in Triangles
Students will learn how to identify and use bisectors, medians, altitudes, and inequalities to apply to the properties of triangles. Students will learn how to use the indirect algebra and geometry proofs, and how to apply the triangle inequality theorem.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
December Chapter 6: Proportions and Similarities
Students will learn to identify similar polygons, and use ratios and proportions to solve problems, to recognize and use proportional parts, corresponding perimeters, altitudes, angle bisectors, and medians of similar triangles to solve problems, and to identify the characterstics of fractals and nongeometric iteration.

  Chapter 7: Right Angles and Trigonometry
Students will learn how to solve problems using the geometric mean, the Pythagorean Theorem, and its converse, to use trigonometric ratios to solve right triangle problems,and to solve triangles using the Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines.

  Chapter 8: Quadrilaterals

February Chapter 10: Circles
Students will learn how to identify parts of a circle and solve problems involving circumference, how to find arc and angle measures in a circle, how to find measures of segments in a circle, and how to write the equation of a circle.

(21 days) Chapter 11: Areas of Polygons and Circles
Students will learn how to find areas of parallelograms, triangles, rhombi, trapezoids, regular polygons, circles, and irregular figures, and how to find geometric probability and areas of sectors and segments of circles.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
  Chapter 12: Surface Area
Students will learn how to identify three-dimensioanl figures, draw two-dimensional models for solids, find the lateral areas and surface areas of prisms, cylinders, pyramids, and cones, and find the surface areas of spheres and hemispheres.

  Chapter 13: Volume
