Welcome to the SELECT Math website!
The resources on this website were created in the Boston Public School District (BPS) as a part of an ongoing project that is partially funded by a No Child Left Behind state grant. One goal of our project is to provide teachers and students access to virtual manipulatives that directly support our district's math and technology curricula. In 2002, the BPS Office of Instructional Technology and Secondary Math Department began working with the Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC) to align technology to our math curriculum and to provide professional development to our teachers and district staff. To date, we have created more than 300 alignments to our district math lessons, and have trained more than 400 educators in the Boston Public School District. On this website, you can view our curriculum alignments, workshop schedule, project newsletters, and much more. This website is constantly updated, so please check back often to find updated links, resources, and worksheets for you and your students.
Begin by selecting a grade level from the menu. The main page for each grade contains a Scope and Sequence calendar describing which book or chapter is being used in math classes during each month of the school year. Click on the individual book/chapter to see the related SELECT Math alignments and worksheets.
The alignments on the SELECT Math website were created by a group of teachers, Coaches, and Technology Support Specialists from the Boston Public Schools. These are suggestions and not recommendations from Connected Mathematics, Glencoe, Prentice Hall or any related institution.
