Monument High School is one of three
small schools located in the historic South Boston High School building.
Monument High has brand new science labs, a refurbished full-size performance
auditorium, state-of-the-art library and newly renovated parent engagement
center. Monument High School's talented student body of 380 reflects the
diversity of Boston's neighborhoods. Based upon the small size of the
school, there are multiple opportunities for students in grades 9-12 to
participate in interdisciplinary field trips and activities. Monument's
unique public safety focus attracts students interested in becoming lawyers,
detectives, criminal psychologists, Emergency Medical Technicians, firefighters,police
officers, and other public safety professionals.

Mission Statement: As a community of professional educators, our
mission is to instruct students to become confident, well-rounded young
adults by providing models for achieving success. As a community of professional
educators, we are bound to our core values as they guide our actions and
decisions and define who we are as a learning community.
Core Values: A core value is a non-negotiable, fundamental belief
