What's happening?

How many planets are there in our solar system? What's this about a planet named Xena?
Read about it on the internet (no book will help answer these questions). Try The Planetary Society

Do you want to learn about "space news" first? One way is to subscribe (through email) to Space Weather. It's great and safe. Another fabulous place to keep current with space (did you know that Pluto actually has 3 moons?) is NASA's Headline News.

A great way to check for updates is to use Google News

Student Work - check out our projects here

(This work is "hosted" at Ms. Theroux's personal web site.)

These projects are in student-words, and they have used invented spelling where ever needed. Please only read these for the ideas of the learners.

(If you are an adult member of one of these students, feel free to work together to take these presentations "to the next level". The students know how to access these files at school.)

Room 6 (4th Grade) (December 2005) learned a little about computer hardware this fall. They also learned about PowerPoint.  You will find out what students find particularly interesting about computers. If you don't have PowerPoint, you can download a "viewer" so you can share this work. Follow this link for more info.

Room 7 (5th Grade) (December 2005) learned about the planets (and other bodies) in our Solar System. They created posters, using drawing software, depicting visuals and providing some basic facts. It may easier if you first save the file, before trying to view it.
